Congratulations to Michael Leaver on his selection as one of Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 for 2022.  A Partner in the firm’s Business Group, Michael has developed a reputation as a ‘go to’ lawyer in Ottawa for M&A and corporate finance transactions. Since being called to the Bar in 2011, he has acted on more than 50 significant deals including many complex, high value and cross-border transactions in IT and other sectors.

Michael also has an active practice advising not-for-profits and amateur sport associations and was long time Chair of the Board of Directors of BEING Studio, a space for artists with developmental disabilities who are working in visual art and creative writing. 

Michael not only advises his clients on business matters, but also is an active entrepreneur having multiple business ventures including Edgewood Links golf course in Dunrobin.

Michael received his law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2010 and completed his articling with the firm. Michael will be presented with his award at a gala dinner on June 17th at the Hilton Lac Leamy presented by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade.
